Rat embryonic stem cell line G3.6 (expressing green fluorescence protein) was transplanted at two sites in a rat injured spinal cord. After 4 weeks, the cord was sectioned and stained for neurofilament (red) and BDA (blue). Prepared and imaged by Koichi Hasegawa. Imaged with a 10x Pan-Neofluar objective lens on LSM510 confocal microscope using ÓTile ScanÓ function. Scale shown in the image is1 mm.

Nocodazole-treated C6R cells prepared by Yana Berlin and Hedong Li. Stained with rhodamine phalloidin for cellular actin and Dapi for nucleus. Imaged with a 63x C-Apochromat objective lens (N.A. 1.2) and DIC (Differential Interference Contrast) on LSM510 Confocal microscope. Imaging by Noriko Kane-Goldsmith.
